A relaxing stay. It was the most tranquil and relaxing 3 days. It was very hot days, but the house remained cool, which was wonderful, and then there is the pool which we enjoyed, especially after taking a walk to the market and shops. McGregor is such a beautifully quaint town. I loved the friendliness of the people.

Gasvryheid, genotvol en vreedsaam. Ons het 'n baie genotvolle tyd spandeer in die rustigheid en stilte in die beeldskone natuur. Die verblyf met sy antieke styl was baie oulik en goed toegerus. Die swembad was ook 'n groot bonus om af te kan koel in die warm somerson. Ons het ook geniet om die markdag, museum, winkels en restaurante te kon besoek in die dorp se hoofpad.

Rustig, veilig en ontspanne. Ons het baie lekker gekuier, alles wat ons benodig het, was daar en ons het die swembad baie benut.

Accommodating, quirky, intriguing and memorable. I took my friend on a getaway for her birthday and we decided on McGregor. When we saw Die Huis op die Heuwel listed, we were very intrigued by its style and quirky atmosphere. We were concerned that the house would be a far travel into town, but it was actually a lovely stroll away. The heat was another factor, but there was a fan provided and the hosts even went as far as to offer us the coolest house between the two. Their accommodating hosting also allowed us to extend our check-out time so that we could enjoy our last day in McGregor. There was entertainment like games and a variety of books. I personally enjoyed taking in the art situated in the main house. My only future request would be to have some curtains in the smaller house for privacy and safety; otherwise, Die Huis op die Heuwel really exceeded my expectations with its accommodating and stylish space and I would gladly revisit! ).

A blissful stay in beautiful surroundings! We stayed for 3 nights as a family of four and enjoyed every moment! We've stayed at The House on the Hill before, so it felt like returning to see an old friend. The house has everything you need and more; the decor is eclectic and warm, and it's perfect for a peaceful, family-friendly escape! We had amazing weather and enjoyed the pool in the afternoons and the front porch for morning coffee. There were loads of mozzies, so we were very happy that each bed has a mosquito net, and the owners have thoughtfully provided mosquito repellent and plug-ins for the bedrooms. They also left us a lovely bottle of wine, which we thoroughly enjoyed while watching the sunset over the mountains! Wish we could've stayed another night! Will definitely return!

Goed. Ja. Die huis is volledig toegerus, maar die tuin is erg verwaarloos. TV ontbreek. Muskiete is 'n groot issue.

Peaceful stay, enjoyed the views. Very relaxed, my wife loved the place and its historic features. Very peaceful stay. The people are very friendly.

Rus en vrede! Baie goed geleë. Ons het heerlik gebly in 'n huis vol karakter wat goed toegerus is met alle benodighede.

Hoogs aanbevole. Baie lekker gebly. Baie ou huis met verskeie interessante oudhede in die huis. Maar ook alle moderne toebehore wat mens nodig het. Interessante tuin. Lekker gestap in die natuurreservaat oorkant die pad.
