The Secret Room is a peaceful garden suite surrounded by trees, with a private entrance and garden views.
Ideal for visiting family, working nearby, or a quiet escape from the city.
The room features a comfortable Queen XL bed with ample hanging space.
A tea/coffee station and mini fridge are provided, with milk and cereal for a simple in-room breakfast.
Enjoy a walk-in indoor shower or a refreshing outdoor shower.
No Tv however, there is Fast WiFi available for streaming or work.

Wake up to birdsong and garden views in this peaceful space attached to a charming thatched cottage.
Surrounded by trees, squirrels often dash through the garden under the watchful eyes of two curious cats.
Access is through a sliding gate leading up the driveway to your allocated parking space.
One parking spot is available on the left at the top of the driveway, under the tree inside the property.
From there, it’s a short walk through the rear garden to the guest suite.
The entrance is a little quirky — it’s through the shower room.
The suite is completely private with no access to the main cottage.
The connecting door between the guest suite and the cottage remains locked at all times.

Upon arrival, please ring the bell, and we will let you in. Raine or Jan will meet you at the top of the driveway.
During your stay, you are welcome to contact us if you need anything — we are happy to help.
For contactless check-out, simply let us know when you’re ready to leave and we will open the gate.

There are two resident cats on the property. They are shy and do not socialise with other animals, so unfortunately, we cannot accommodate additional pets.
There is no TV, but high-speed internet is available if you’d like to stream on your own device.
A small beehive is tucked away under the trees at the very back of the property. We kindly ask guests to avoid this area. The bees are busy working in the surrounding gardens and rarely come near the cottage.
Rome Glen is well positioned within a short drive of prestigious wine estates, as well as the beaches of Strand and Gordon’s Bay.

Cape Town Film Studios is about a 20-minute drive away, making this a convenient stay for those working in the film industry who prefer a quiet overnight retreat.
