Dis 'n baie lekker plek om by te wees. Ek het die wonderlikste naweek ooit gehad. Die eienaar van die plek is 'n baie nice persoon en ek raai enige iemand aan om na haar plek te gaan.

Gemaklike eenheid wat dringende aandag nodig het. Die ligging was perfek vir ons troue, maar die Blue Crane eenheid het desperaat aandag nodig. Lugversorging werk glad nie in 39 grade toestande, kraan drup, stortdeur maak nie toe nie, voordeur wat vashaak en nie behoorlik oopmaak nie, en so gaan dit aan. Die eenheid self is ruim en gemaklik, maar mens is nie gemaklik in die spasie nie a.g.v. die gebrek aan sorg.

I have seen your review on the site. I would like to clarify a few things. It was a one-night stay. You did not even realise the plumber was there and replaced the bathroom taps completely with new ones while you were out. The shower door was fixed. The air conditioners work as I had them fixed a few days before; perhaps you do not know how to use the remote. (The universal remote is complicated, so I apologise.) You could have just called me and I would have assisted. I appreciate your input on the other issues. We are now putting in a new couch and new headboards in the bedrooms. Navy blue. We are also going to replace the cupboard doors in the main bedroom and modernise Blue Crane completely. If you have any ideas, I would greatly appreciate your input. Regards Joanne

We'll will not return. Owner was confused about the booking – told us one thing via email, another when we arrived. Place in bad shape: shower handle broken, drain slow, basin streaked and wiped with a dirty cloth, no coffee, tea, sugar, salt, or pepper. Fridge has broken legs, so it wobbles – nothing seems to be checked and sorted. Place bears very little resemblance to images on the website. Other guests also complain about their room. Seems the owner is not maintaining the place well – garden in poor shape. When I queried the booking, she seemed mystified, then proceeded to tell me we were better in the other room because her neighbour’s dog killed one of her dogs, so better we stay far away – and about her large pet cemetery where she buried all the pets she lost – this at her pet-friendly establishment. Go figure!!! Owner told me she was not available to welcome us as she was sulking when we arrived due to some bad news, so she decided to drink a lot. Strange way to welcome your guests. Does the website actually check these things and deal with it? Not a nice experience.

The extra R800 was not charged because I loved your dogs; however, Fish Eagle Cottage, where you stayed, is actually a no-pets cottage, and your stay there was an exception. The cottage is exactly as pictured on our website, and many guests find it even better in person. The Red Fridge in the cottage is a new Hisense model with a water dispenser, purchased only a week before your stay. For safety reasons, I always request that guests do not walk onto the neighbouring private property, to protect both themselves and their pets; unfortunately, a previous guest ignored this rule and lost a dog, which is why I emphasise it. You were greeted by my staff and checked in promptly, as other guests were arriving at a similar time. Regarding the pet cemetery on the farm, I provide a respectful burial place to honour the animals, and I do not share details regarding the circumstances of their passing. Furthermore, as a self-catering property, guests are expected to provide certain items themselves. On the fourth day of your stay, you informed me that the shower handle was broken, which had actually been damaged the day before your departure.

Good and peaceful. We attended a wedding. The owners allowed us to book in early for our convenience. Everything we needed was available. Felt safe even arriving late at night from the wedding. Loved the dogs receiving us late at night.
