"Montagu is 'n pragtige dorpie met al die geriewe wat 'n mens van so 'n dorp kan verwag. Die enigste probleem is dat die selfoonseine in die dorp uiters swak is. En ek het beide MTN en Vodacom toegang. Dit het veroorsaak dat ons by inklok nie met ons gasheer kon kontak maak nie en byna het dinge skeef geloop. Ek is van mening dat die dorpsowerhede regtig met die selfoonbase moet in verbinding kom om seker te maak dat die sein sterk en beskikbaar is. Geen of swak kontak kan toerisme baie negatief raak."

Zeehuijs"Yzerfontein is pragtig, maar wind was ysig koud gewees. Pak maar genoeg warm goed in, winter of somer. Natuurskoon is baie mooi."

The Olive and Vine Farm Cottage"Daar is uitstekende restaurante met goeie kos en puik diens. Alles in die dorp is stapafstand van mekaar. Wynproe deur om op die Wine Tram te gaan is absoluut die moeite werd. Ons het die paar dae in Franschhoek baie geniet."

We only learned about them through our friends, i.e. the Saturday market which is great, Simply Bee, and we now also understand there is an art gallery and a small theatre in town. We always buy meat at the local butcher to take make home and there is a wonderful nursery not far from town. I am sure I am missing a couple of things, but these can be draw cards for people from the city to visit Hopefield and stay in the hotel!"
