Ligging is asemrowend! Baie rustig, vriendelike personeel definitief die plek om te gaan as jy wil wegbreek van die gejaagde lewe!

It's a beautiful place, gorgeous mountains and magical forest, the drive up to the lodge is rough though.

The drive up to the lodge is 4,4 km of very rough road which adds a lot to your travel time. I recommend a 4x4 vehicle. Once you are at the lodge there is no quick drive to a shop or any other tourist attraction. There is also no cell phone signal. The hiking trails are a magnificent experience.

Teleurgesteld.

Die kamer was nie deeglik skoon nie, daar was muisvalletjies in die kombuiskaste en die pad op na die lodge is nie rybaar nie. Vol klippe en rotse.

Fantastiese ligging en geriewe werklik baie netjies en skoon.

Great plek en sal definitief aanbeveel vir enige een wat will wegkom van die stad se lawaai.

Dit was 'n heerlike wegbreek, maar baie duur.

Ons het heerlik gekuier, die tyd saam en in die natuur was kosbaar. Die verblyf en etes is ongelukkig baie duur, ons het al op ander plekke tuisgegaan waar ons vir dieselfde prys baie meer luuks gekuier het.

Natuurskoon is pragtig maar pryse te hoog.

Pragtige ligging, maar pryse vir maaltye glad nie regverdigbaar nie. Teleurgesteld met spa-fasiliteite omrede dit vooraf bespreek is en nie ontvang het waarvoor bespreek is nie.

Pragtig.

Baie meer as wat ons verwag het. Een van die mooiste plekke wat ek nog gesien het. Ons sal vir seker weer gaan.

Fantasties.

Alles was puik - verblyf, personeel, bestuur, etes, die mooiste uitsig!

Moeite werd!

Die plek het al ons verwagtinge oorskry. Sal enige tyd aanbeveel.

All except the spa was great.

The accommodation was great. The room was very comfortable and clean. The service was really great. The spa disappointing. The spa room was cold and my wife got flu from the cold. The "massage" was nothing more than oil being rubbed on her skin. We really enjoyed all the meals. It was our second time there and we shall probably go back.

Mooi uitsig!

Die lodge was pragtig met 'n asemrowende uitsig. Sal wel voorstel dat hulle eerlik is met mens oor hoe sleg die R36 is en dat hul mens sal aanraai om eerder in daglig te ry. Die verblyf adverteer as Dullstroom waar dit in waarheid soos 60 km ver weg is en omtrent 1 en 'n halfuur vat om by Dullstroom uit te kom met al die padwerke. Die diens was uitstekend en die verblyf asemrowend. Hulle wynlys is wel belaglik geprys. Hulle sit omtrent 400% wins op 'n bottel. Suid-Afrikaners ken van wyn, moet ons nie so probeer flous nie. Alhoewel die "spa" se diens goed was, kan dit nie 'n spa genoem word nie. Daar is slegs een terapeut. Daai is 'n vertrek met 'n terapeut. Dit was teleurstellend aangesien dit my rede was om daar te bespreek. Dis 'n stukkie hemel met 'n pragtige staproete, maar hulle moet eerlik adverteer.

Natuurprag en 'n rustige waterstroom en wandelpad.

Die Bee Eater eenheid is nie goed geplaas nie, dis te naby die kombuis wat lawaaierig is met skottelgoed. Dis ook teenaan die pad, en die kom en gaan van motors het dit bietjie steurend gemaak. Andersins, baie mooi met 'n lekker bad.

Asemrowend met puik diens!

Ons het elke sekonde van ons verblyf geniet. Uiters professionele diens!

Rustig en baie smaaklike etes, maar duurder as die normaal.

Vir 'n kort naweek en ruskans was dit meer as die moeite werd, maar ek voel die kostes is hoog veral as jy langer sou bly. Ons het die stilte geniet en ons uitgawes so beplan om ons sak te pas, maar sou nie kon bekostig om langer te bly weens die duur kostes nie. Bygesê, die etes was baie, baie lekker.

Ontspanne wegbreek in lieflike omgewing.

Ons het tuisgegaan in in die nuwe "Beach Cottage". Die decor is pragtig. Die plekkie lyk soos 'n outentieke standhuisie. Die omgewing is besonder mooi. Ons was meestal selfversorgend (die woonstel is baie goed toegerus) maar het wel Sondagaand in die restaurant gaan eet. Die koste was R250 per persoon. Die kos was doodgewoon en daar was geen keuse nie. Ons het meer verwag.

A beautiful, restful place.

Highly recommend Forest Creek Lodge. A beautiful place: " A little bit of heaven of earth". Quiet, peaceful, fantastic forest to walk through, stunning scenery. Mush and Anita and their staff are just delightful, and make sure your stay is everything you want. The spa is relaxing, food delicious and JoJo , what a sweetie. Not far from Johannesburg, for that wonderful calming weekend.

Dit was Hemels.

Dit was voorwaar die heerlikste huweliksherdenking wat ek gehad het. Die plek is so privaat en die kos was heerlik. Anita en haar mense het ons wonderlik bederf. Die wandelpad was natuurlik vir ons 'n uitdaging maar was wonderlik om tot by die waterval te stap.

Prentjie mooi, rustige atmosfeer.

Goeie en flinke diens. Kan gerus aanbeveel word.

Fantasties, panoramies, vreedsaam.

Die omgewing is baie mooi en die atmosfeer rustig. Die personeel is hulpvaardig en die diens goed. Die kos is 4-ster en die akkommodasie is luuks, skoon en ruim. Die grondpad na die lodge is egter baie rof.

Perfect getaway for some downtime with your spouse!

Lovely and peaceful. 4x4 or high clearance vehicle a must because of roads, especially during the rain. Amazing hikes and views. Only downside for staying where we stayed was that we thought we would have peace and be undisturbed by others - we didn't realise that the staff would be cleaning daily, and attending to other things which could be disruptive.

Rustig en ontspannend

Baie lekker plek om vir 'n naweek weg te breuk. Baie mooi natuur wat die plek omring. 'n Mens word hier op die hande gedra met uitstekende diens. Kos wat bedien word is uitstekend!

Beautiful landscape and well maintained lodge with friendly staff.

The 4-km ride to top definitely requires a high clearance vehicle. If you are not travelling in one than you'd be better off asking the lodge to collect you from the gate.

Beautiful mountains and lovely place to stay

The staff very professional and helpful. Very nice food. Our Bee Eater cottage was very pretty and nice to stay in. The mountains and forest walks are absolutely awesome!

Amazing views, great hikes, friendly staff, beautiful suites - terrible access road!

Only at Forest Creek for the weekend, but it was very pretty. We were a little disappointed with the food - very basic, but the friendliness of the staff, the views, the beautiful suites and the great hikes I guess made up for it.

Amazing views and peace and quiet.

We had a short but very pleasant stay at the Bee-Eater chalet, amazing features all around the lodge with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and cliffs. Except for the double booking at the spa we enjoyed everything - especially the 4x4 expedition. Getting to the lodge: be warned, you'll need to make provisions for at least a 20-30 minute drive from the tar road turnoff to the lodge, the 10-12km scenery trip was beautiful but from entering the Forest Creek cattle gate, your speed limit at times cannot exceed 20-40km/h. This is a wonderful place for a break-away weekend.

Forest Creek Lodge is located in a beautiful area and enriches your stay there with wonderful activities. It's a truly wonderfull place to wind down or take a romantic weekend with your loved one.

Overall stay was pure enjoyment and relaxation

It was total enjoyment from the time of arrival to departure, the staff was friendly, helpful and ready to assist. The food was excellent from start to finish. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone that need a break from the everyday rush. Its the best spot to sit and relax, and enjoy the quietness of nature.

Mostly great, a bit pricey

We had a wonderful honeymoon at Forest Creek Lodge and Spa. The food was very good and the accommodation excellent. We felt some of the extras like R150 for a bush lunch consisting only of sandwiches, chips, fruit and water... not even a drink... was a bit pricey. However we were very spoiled by the staff and they went out of their way to make us comfortable. The location is quite remote and we felt a bit cut off without any cell phone reception - but that's part of why this location would be perfect for nature lovers. Many of the things we thought would be free, we had to pay for, like dinner in the gazebo and the outdoor bath. But all in all it was a great experience and many good memories were made.

Excellent location, peaceful and tranquil - with excellent service and friendly staff

The lodge is 4km up the mountain, vehicle with ground clearance is a must. The place is small and intimate, our room was excellent, service exceptional and the staff very pleasant. Food great. Hikes are easy and pleasant, dam was excellent for trout flyfishing (caught plenty) on a catch and release basis. The views are fantastic. Will highly recommend this lodge and will not hesitate to visit again. An ideal place for couples, not a place for families with small kids - in my opinion kids will be bored. Quite pricey but rated 4 star - but what you pay for is what you get.

We loved the stay. 2nd Visit and it was really great. The food was great too!

This is a gorgeous spot. Very nice walks. The accommodation is great and the food is also good. A lovely retreat!
