Friendly welcoming by the host (and his dogs), beautiful historic building at the top of McGregor, with lovely views and a good breakfast. The pool was a most welcome respite from the heat.

Fabulous host, beautiful setting, a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

We arrived to a warm welcome and a cold bottle of wine in our room's fridge. Everything was just perfect.

Ons het die gasvryheid van die eienaar baie geniet. Hy het ons ook baie goeie advies gegee oor kuierplekke op die dorp.

Sarel was a gracious host and made us feel welcome. Skuur 1 was a great choice for a romantic getaway at a very good price.

Ek het die pragtige omgewing en vars lug baie geniet - ook wanneer ek op die patio gesit en gelees het.

Die "spring rolls" met bobotie en pampoenkoekies, voor die kaggelvuur, die aand van my aankoms, was 'n heerlike bederf.

Ons het 'n heerlike nag se verblyf geniet by Green Gables. Die kamers was skoon, netjies en ruim. Die ontbyt was heerlik. Ons sal Sarel aanbeveel by vriende.

Warm, friendly and extremely accommodating.

I was messaged ahead of time, to make sure that everything was just so. I was welcomed with a warm and friendly smile, what better way is there to be welcomed after a long journey? And then I was offered a coffee since I had mentioned that I hadn't made a stop along the way. A must is waking up to see the beautiful sunrise. The rooms had electric blankets and a heater, so I never had an opportunity to be cold at all. The breakfasts were absolutely fantastic and well presented, plus great coffee and all with that gorgeous view! I 100% recommend staying here.

Sarel het ons vriendelik ontvang en ons het welkom gevoel.

Sarel het uit sy pad uit gegaan om ons welkom te laat voel en sy platter met klein bordjies was heerlik. En hy het tot laat vir ons gewag nadat ons kar langs die pad gebreek het.

A weekend in a rustic country lodge.

We stayed for two nights and enjoyed the rural atmosphere and the quiet. The room was private, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Sarel was a perfect host. Our breakfast was delicious, the coffee excellent.

A wonderful host.

Sarel was a wondeful host. He could not have been more friendly and accommodating. Our room was very comfortable, spacious, and tastefully decorated. We give Green Gables the highest recommendation.

Amazing hosts and stunning views.

Such a cute, lovely, cozy, comfortable place, we so enjoyed the views, the pool, and the chats with the friendly hosts. Was a wonderful place to base ourselves and to just relax. Well recommended to everyone.

Beautiful location, generous host.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Green Gables. We found our host to be generous and helpful. We were a bit worried about his dogs as they are very protective which is great, but worrisome. Besides they don't take kindly to strangers (and they are in a guesthouse that welcomes strangers as its business).

Spasie, grasie,rustig en mooi.

Goed geleë en ruim. Waarde vir geld en uitsonderlike persoonlike diens. Bure se honde te aktief in die nag, andersins perfek.
