Working farm charm. Located nicely about 5 km from the N1, this working farm in its own little valley has a good vista. It has charm and very good value accommodation in the form of wooden cabins with large bathrooms. The Karoo Kombuis is fully equipped with all your kitchen needs as the rooms do not have kitchenettes. We stayed on a very cold, rainy night, but we were toasty warm in the cabin.

Pleaceful, beautiful, cosy, friendly. It was a perfect place to stay en route further north but I would love to come back for a longer stay for the peace and for the spectacular walking and plants. Michael was a very friendly and welcoming host and I loved my cosy little house on a blustery night. I walked up the valley through the valley and found some fascinating plants in flower after rains. As I say - I would love to come back and explore further.

Farm stay in the idyllic Karoo. I booked this stay for my elderly parents on their travel to Cape Town and they were delighted with the working farm and hospitality. They have goats and stunning cheese as well as pecan nut trees. If you want beautiful views and starlit skies, this is the place that truly makes South Africa one of the most unique places to visit.

Wat 'n voorreg - reën was hemels. Heerlik gebraai onder die sterre. Ketel in die eenheid sou beter gewerk het met die reën die oggend as om in die reën te stap om koffie te gaan maak het.

A calm and comfortable stay at an African farm in the Karoo! What a gem in an oasis, and what a wonderful hostess! You can't believe what lies just a few kilometres from a national road. This is a working farm, and it was soothing hearing the familiar sound of a windmill together with the animal noises for the duration of our stay. We stayed in a beautiful, well-appointed home, and even 'adopted' a resident cat while we were there! As there are animals on the farm, there were a lot of flies, but pesticides were provided to keep them under control. There were cottages further away from the animals which may well minimise the fly population!

Vlieë het die tyd daar bederf. Baie mooi uitsigte, goed toegerus en skoon. Daar was net 'n probleem met vlieë, het gevoel soos duisende. Peaceful sleep gespuit, maar niks verbeter nie. Moes eers kombuis vergas met Doom om vleis binne voor te berei om seker te maak vleis word nie bederf nie, voor ons kon braai. Baie spyt, want dis pragtig.

Bespreek net, jy sal bly wees. Baie goed ingerig, die gasheer en gasvrou was besonders aangenaam.

Tranquility in a fabulous setting! I received a very warm, friendly welcome from the owner. She showed me my cabin and then took me to the kitchen rondawel to explain additional things to me, as well as to get the WiFi password. It was a very relaxing stay in an ideal setting away from the busy N1. I will certainly recommend Jagerskraal to my friends. Thank you!
