Dit was nie ideaal nie. Ons het nie 'n baie goeie eerste ervaring gehad nie, ek glo egter dat hulle hulle bes gedoen het om die probleem op te los. Daar was 'n probleem met die water - hulle het egter nie dieselfde tipe eenheid beskikbaar gehad nie, en ek is nie gemaklik om my gesin op te deel nie. Ons het dit laat werk vir die een aand, maar het besluit om nie nog 'n aand te bly nie. Hulle het egter baie moeite gedoen, en ons waardeer dit. Daar was ook nie enige seep beskikbaar in die eenheid nie, handewas/opwas seep vir vuil skottelgoed nie - dink dit is redelik standaard.

Ons neem ook kennis van u opmerking rakende basiese items in die eenheid, en sal dit intern hersien om seker te maak ons gaste se verwagtinge word so ver moontlik ontmoet. Bad. Not good. Restaurant not operating. No dustbins in rooms. No chairs or lights at the braai stations at the rooms. No braai tongs. No oven or microwave. No lighters to light up the gas stove to make coffee. No tea available. Cupboards dirty at the bottom (cobwebs and ant heaps).

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. We would, however, like to clarify a few points in the interest of being fair and transparent to future guests. Our restaurant is unfortunately not currently operating, although our bar is open. We do clearly understand that this may have been disappointing, and we are working towards having the restaurant operational again. Our rooms are self-catering units and are equipped with two-plate stoves. Our website does not advertise ovens or microwaves as standard facilities. Only one of our units has a microwave, and this is specifically indicated on our website. The gas stoves in the units are also equipped with lighters where required. We do not normally keep large dustbins inside the rooms, as we are situated on a property where temperatures can become very warm and food waste can quickly cause unpleasant odours. Bins are provided outside for this reason. The braai areas are available for guests to use. We do not permanently leave chairs outside because we experience frequent rain, and outdoor furniture would need to be moved in and out to prevent damage. Guests are welcome to take the chairs from their unit outside when using the braai area and return them afterwards. Braai tongs are available on request. Unfortunately, we have previously had items such as these disappear when left outside, which is why they are not permanently kept at every braai area. Had we known that you intended to braai, we would gladly have provided you with a pair. We have not previously had complimentary tea as part of our standard room amenities, as this has not been something guests have requested. However, we appreciate the suggestion and will certainly consider adding tea to our amenities going forward. Regarding the cleanliness of the cupboards, we take cleanliness very seriously. Our units are cleaned daily. As we are situated on a property surrounded by nature, insects, ants and occasional cobwebs can unfortunately appear again very quickly, despite regular cleaning. Nevertheless, we will follow up on this with our cleaning team to ensure that these areas receive additional attention. We are always open to constructive feedback and use it to improve our guests' experience. We do feel that some of the points raised in this review relate to facilities that are either not advertised as being provided or are available upon request, and we would have been more than happy to assist during your stay had we been made aware of any of these concerns. We are a small, independent lodge and genuinely value every guest and every opportunity to improve. We hope that this response also provides future guests with a clearer understanding of what we offer.

Affordable accommodation with all necessary requirements for a home away from home. Peaceful and tranquil surroundings. Chalet well equipped and air-conditioning was an absolute perk! We would love to revisit.

Waarde vir geld. Verblyf was lekker. Pad vanaf hoofpad is sleg vir voertuie wat laag is. Kombuis is buite die kamer. Geen foto's van die badkamer. Juis daar bespreek omdat daar 'n restaurant is, maar was reeds toe om 17:30.
