House Rules
Check-in is available from 14:00 to 19:00. Late check-ins after 20:00 will incur an additional fee per hour.
Check-out is at 10:00. Late check-outs are subject to availability and will incur a half-day rate until 15:00 and a full night's rate thereafter.
Please contact the property manager to arrange any changes to your check-out time. Due to the challenging terrain and footpaths, we do not recommend arrival after sunset or departure before sunrise.
The Craighross Castle does not have direct parking at the property. Parking is available at the adjacent castle, subject to availability. Guests can currently access Craighross Castle via a scenic 50-meter walk along the beach from the neighbouring Pezula Castle. The walk takes approximately 5 minutes and includes a short section over exposed rocks. If parking at the adjacent castle is unavailable, guests may use the public Noetzie parking area and walk down to the castle. Our on-site management team will gladly assist with luggage upon arrival and departure.
Road Access to the Castles: Once you exit the Pezula Private Estate, there is a 2 km dirt road leading to the castles. A medium-clearance vehicle is required for this route. As Knysna receives rainfall throughout the year, typically heaviest between May and August, we recommend a 4x4 vehicle, as certain sections of the dirt road can become muddy and slippery during wet conditions.
Guests can enjoy a variety of personalised services to enhance their stay, including private chef services, butler services, transport, and spa treatments. Please note: All services require prebooking and are subject to availability.
Please note that there are no on-site shops or restaurants at the castles. We recommend purchasing all necessary supplies in the town of Knysna, which is a 13-minute drive away. Due to the distance and several flights of stairs between the parking area and the Craighross castles, we recommend purchasing groceries in moderation.
All pets must be approved by management prior to arrival. If no prior arrangement has been made at the time of your reservation confirmation or before your arrival, we will unfortunately be unable to accommodate your booking.
