Interesting. Hi, our stay was interesting to say the least, LOL. We took part in the S. A. Long Distance Duathlon Championships that was at the Hoekwil Primary School. I was looking for a venue close to the race and Rivendell came up. I booked without reading all the info regarding WiFi and proper location (my fault), not that WiFi is a big deal. Getting to the place was a bit of a problem, very steep downhill. If you did not have a 4 x 4, you were in trouble. We did love the view. Pity we ran out of time to go down to the river. Oh, and the toilet and shower were outside. It is winter. I think what you get and what they charge is a wee bit much. The fridge also did not work. The host brought us some ice to keep our goodies cold. Not good for that price. He was very friendly and was available whenever we needed help. So, all in all, not the best place to stay. Awesome spot if you just want to rest and relax.
