Shoulder Mountain Products shop operates from Sunday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00. Guests are requested to arrive before 17:30 on Fridays to complete indemnity forms. If guests are unable to arrive before 17:00, the host should be informed so that indemnity forms can be prepared and placed in the chalet for their arrival.

Guests may purchase handcrafted wellness and boutique products from the Shoulder Mountain Products range throughout their stay during normal business hours. Available items may include farm raw-milk soaps, The Green Stuff comfrey salve, calendula balm, Bush-man’s beard oils, kombucha SCOBYs, kefir grains, and related starters, subject to availability.

Longer stays are accommodated when available. Guests on extended stays may request exceptions to standard arrangements once on-site.

The retreat is accessible by sedan; however, high-clearance vehicles such as SUVs or bakkies are recommended, especially during the rainy season.

Check-in is preferred before 17:00 for guest safety unless alternative arrangements have been made. Check-out is at 10:00. An indemnity form must be signed on arrival for insurance purposes.

Children under the age of 2 stay free of charge. A baby cot is available on request.

Description

This private campsite is located below the mountain and offers scenic views with beautiful sunsets over the dam. The site is completely secluded and has no amenities, so guests must be fully self-sufficient. The campsite can accommodate a trailer, caravan, or standard tent setup. Guests must bring all camping equipment and remove all rubbish when departing to keep the area clean. Additional guests from the same group can be arranged at an extra fee. Please contact for additional spot nearby or with the same area. Campsites are not shared with other bookings to ensure privacy. A small farm shop offers natural healing balms, handmade milk soaps, beard oils, and related products. Children can take part in hand-milking the dairy cow used for soap making; this must be arranged in advance.

This unit includes a wall mounted heater/air-conditioner. The king-size bed also includes soft luxury linens & duvet. The chalets are well insulted by heavy rock. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. This chalet has a fully equipped kitchen fitted with a fridge/freezer, two burner oven/stove combo and a microwave. The unit also has a private braai boma. A bush swimming pool surrounded by mountains is nearby the chalets. Complimentary tea- and coffee-making facilities, towels & pool towels are provided.
