Shondoro Mountain Retreat

Description

Our newest campsite down low from the mountain. This site complements a beautiful sunset at the dam with mountain views. There are no amenities, but you are secluded! If you need further guests in the same company you can contact us further for additional fee, however we do not stack campsites on top of others with hopes to give you a more enjoyable experience. Bring all your gear for a memorable camping experience. No amenities means real camping, so bring everything you think you need and take all your trash upon leaving to keep our site in clean condition. This site can accept trailer, caravan or just a tent pitch as normal for a wonderful family getaway!! We have a small shop with natural healing balms and handmade milk soaps, beard oils and more. Contact us in advance if your children want to hand milk the dairy cow we use to make our natural soaps on this new regenerative farm.

House Rules

Shoulder Mountain Products shop operates from Sunday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00. Guests are requested to arrive before 17:00 on Fridays to complete indemnity forms. If guests are unable to arrive before 17:00, the host should be informed so that indemnity forms can be prepared and placed in the chalet for their arrival.

A 50% discount applies to stays of two nights or longer, as no payments are accepted for Saturdays. No staff are on duty during the Sabbath, although guests will be welcomed once the host becomes available. A staff member remains on-site for emergencies.

Guests are encouraged to enjoy the discount responsibly and may browse or purchase handcrafted wellness and boutique products from the Shoulder Mountain Products range at check-in or check-out. Available items may include farm raw-milk soaps, The Green Stuff comfrey salve, calendula balm, Bush-man’s beard oils, kombucha SCOBYs, kefir grains, and related starters, subject to availability.

Longer stays are accommodated when available. Guests on extended stays may request exceptions to standard arrangements once on-site.

The retreat is accessible by sedan; however, high-clearance vehicles such as SUVs or bakkies are recommended.

Check-in is required before 17:00 for guest safety unless alternative arrangements have been made. Check-out is at 10:00. An indemnity form must be signed on arrival for insurance purposes.

Children under the age of 2 stay free of charge. A baby cot is available on request.

Klipspringer features a bedroom with a king bed and air-conditioning. The bathroom has an en-suite bathroom which is fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. The unit also comes equipped with a fully equipped outside kitchen with a fridge, oven and stove combination, toaster, cutlery, crockery, kettle and complimentary tea- and coffee-making facilities. There is also a private braai boma. Towels and linen provided.

The unit also has a private braai boma. Complimentary tea- and coffee-making facilities, linen and towels are provided.
