Safe secure. We recently stayed at Skilpadbessie Eco for four nights and were genuinely impressed. The setting offers the perfect balance of bush tranquillity and seaside atmosphere. The campsites are thoughtfully designed with excellent attention to detail, and the entire environment is safe, secure, and impeccably maintained. Werner and Joanie were outstanding hosts, warm, attentive, and exceptionally accommodating. An unforgettable and highly recommended experience.

Incredibly thank you. ️️️️️ Skilpadbessie Eko Kamp – A peaceful escape into nature. For us, Skilpadbessie Eko Kamp really hit the nail on the head when it comes to camping — and that says a lot, as we’ve been to many campsites over the years. Johannie and Werner have truly thought of everything. From the clever placement of each campsite (so you don’t hear your neighbours) to the donkie, jacuzzi, and perfect sense of peaceful isolation — this place lets you fully enjoy the quiet and the sounds of nature. The facilities were incredibly clean, eco-friendly, and so well thought out. We also appreciated that it’s dog-friendly — just remember to bring a doggy poop bag! Johannie and Werner met us personally on arrival, which made us feel so welcome right from the start. If you truly want a peaceful escape into nature, with all the right amenities to make your stay comfortable, this is the place for you. Thank you, Johannie and Werner — we’ll definitely be back!

Lieflike privaat kampplek. Die eienaars is vriendelik en behulpsaam. Ons was persoonlik ontmoet en Werner het vir ons hout vir 'n winter kampvuurtjie gebring, en ook die donkie reeds gestook vir 'n heerlike warm stort. Die twee kampplekkies is privaat, met 'n wonderlike sterrehemel om te aanskou snags. Ablusies is skoon en ruim.

Quiet, peaceful, nature. Quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was extremely helpful in getting warm. They also offered to preheat it on arrival, as well as the donkey for the showers, which was super kind. They also offer wood to buy, which definitely needs to keep the hot tub warm. The campsite is a perfect little getaway.

We will be back! What a beautiful camping site! It's wonderful to camp in the vegetation, and even more wonderful that there are so few sites. It makes camping a relaxing experience. Well-maintained, with great plant signs, walks, and the ablution area is exceptionally clean and neat. Congratulations!

Loved it! Wonderful camping spot! Very well equipped! Probably the best ablutions we’ve ever visited. The hosts were incredibly friendly. The only cons were that the campgrounds were not entirely level and there was a distinct lack of shade at the spot we stayed. The shelter over the picnic table was not adequate during the times of the day one would need it most (early mornings and late afternoons). We will definitely be visiting again.
