"Beaufort West is a great place to stop on the trip to and from Cape Town. There is not many dinner restaurant options, but the Spur is decent and the Wimpy is standard if you're looking for somewhere familiar."

"Route 62 needs to be appreciated slowly, as the drives are quite long between towns. When ordering cappucino, ask first if they have a machine, else you might just get a Frisco sachet, which tastes just like chai tea. Hi Way gave us friendly and efficient service for a flat tyre and hardly charged us anything for a second-hand tyre, they seem to have branches in most towns. The small Karoo towns need visitors to linger, appreciate, and help the local economy - go there!"
