Description
Shondoro Mountain Retreat is situated in Vaalwater and offers 2 rustic stone and thatch cottages. The surrounding area is rich in history. For short stay bookings we are open Sunday through Thursday. Want to stay over a long weekend or holiday? Contact us. We are closed on Saturdays in recognition of Sabbath, but can make arrangements for Thursday - Sunday bookings.
The Reedbuck Cottage features 2 rooms suited to accommodate up to 4 guests in total. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and air-conditioning. The second room features 2 single beds. Both of the bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom which is fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. The unit has a fully equipped kitchen fitted with a fridge, oven and stove combo and a microwave. The unit also has a private braai boma. Complimentary tea- and coffee-making facilities, linen and towels are provided.
Klipspringer features a bedroom with a king bed and air-conditioning. The bathroom has an en-suite bathroom which is fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. The unit also comes equipped with a fully equipped outside kitchen with a fridge, oven and stove combination, toaster, cutlery, crockery, kettle and complimentary tea- and coffee-making facilities. There is also a private braai boma. Towels and linen provided.
A communal swimming pool at the cottages overlooks the mountains, where peace and tranquility will envelop guests. The property offers many walking trails and climbs as well as mountain biking trails, farm roads and nature trails, for novice and more advanced riders. Shondoro Mountain Retreat is a 144-ha bushveld farm that lies in the malaria-free Waterberg Mountains with outstanding birdwatching opportunities and amazing tree spotting.
Shondoro Mountain Retreat can only be reached with a high-clearance vehicle like an SUV or bakkie.
