Dogs not allowed off leashes anywhere and locals not at all friendly.

Very isolated for Gauteng visitors after being promised the close proximity to the beach.

Hi Carin. Our house is located about 400m from the main beach on Flagship Drive, a 5-minute walk or 2 minutes by car, as promised. Unfortunately, the municipal by-law dictates rules around dogs on a leash. I'm sorry you found the locals to be unfriendly.

Peaceful and cosy.

It was a lovely and cosy place. Ideal for a family of 4. Close to the beach as well.

Nie 'n gemaklike kuier nie. Basiese geriewe. Meer betaal vir wat ons gekry het. Uiters teleurgesteld.

Geen DStv om sport regstreeks te kyk nie. Die internet se sein is uiters swak. Geen ekstra komberse of beddegoed nie: Was baie koud. Moes eie gaan aankoop. Buite-area is basies en kon nie braai in koue weer nie. Die huis kry geen son nie en daar is nie verwarmers nie. Geen voorsiening vir beurtkrag nie.

Dear Caroline. We are disappointed to hear that you did not enjoy your stay.
We did however provide facilities to you as advertised. Our photos are clear and show exactly what to expect, this includes the outside area and braai. Our house is basic but very comfortable, pet friendly and fully enclosed. There are extra blankets in both bedrooms and extra duvets in the 2nd room if those were not sufficient. We do not have heaters but rather a lovely fireplace in the lounge that generates amazing warmth throughout. The WiFi is available but unfortunately not high-speed at all times.
We do not have DSTV or a backup system in place for loadshedding but we don't advertise to have either of those.
We try our best to meet expectations by providing exactly what we advertise and commit to, at reasonable rates.
We had one of the worst storms ever in the Western Cape during your stay so unfortunately you could not experience the amazing all-day sunshine.
