Extremely dissatisfied.

I got a call from the owner stating that the electricity was down in the area but would be sorted by the afternoon. I said no problem as long as it gets sorted out. As the chalet was self-catering, we were concerned that the food would turn bad. I sent a message at 18h30, and he replied that the power may be restored the following day. He didn't make any attempt to provide a generator to at least power the fridges and the geyser. We could not make use of any of the facilities the chalet offered. The next morning we all had cold showers and had to buy ice to stop the food from going bad. I messaged the owner asking for a generator to assist us during the day. He did not reply until the following morning after we left the chalet, saying he had a family emergency. More cold showers that morning and no meal as the food had to be thrown away. I would not recommend our experience for anyone. Imagine if someone else came there with kids or a handicapped family member. You would have to move around in the dark and not have hot baths. Very poor customer service.

It's a beautiful spot right on the ocean in the conservancy, super peaceful.

Stay was great. Just when booking and confirming what you have booked, and what you receive are the same, we had some differences on what was confirmed for the booking and what the actuality was. The unit is not wheelchair friendly, and although the wonderful lady assigned to us for our stay did everything in her power to improve it, the unit cannot accommodate a wheelchair in the toilet. The shower has a step in, so the shower chair and paraplegic rails only help if the person can overcome steps. Also, the bathroom is listed as en suite and the lower floor has a guest toilet; the one toilet on the lower floor is part of the en suite and the guest loo. The unit was confirmed as having DSTV, and it does in the bedrooms upstairs, which supplies the downstairs bedroom but does not work in the lounge; you will need to stream from your own account. The aircons helped, although the aircon in one bedroom was not working and couldn't be repaired. The unit is advertised as sleeping 10, which it does, but the lounge and dining only seat 6. The outside communal braai area's roof leaked at the entrance to the unit. And there were only 8 plastic chairs and one small round table for all units to share (22 people); the patio area in the photos only shows the one table and a few chairs. It did have lovely concrete tables seating 4 to 6 people, by 2, and one of the plastic picnic seats and a table at the edge of the property overlooking the ocean, as shown in the photos, but not usable in the rain. The kitchen was beautiful and new, with a gas stove, so super. We enjoyed our stay.

Ons het baie lekker daar gebly.

Die uitsig was fantasties. Klein tot groot het dit geniet.

It was comfortable but rooms rather dark.

I felt that maybe the decor was a bit dated. Needs to be more beachy and lighter furniture. The location was stunning and that overall was a huge bonus. We did find the driveway gate rusted and hard to open from the street. Also the doors to the cottage were hard to unlock as lots of keys so possibly colour code them for visitors.

The Steel gates only open to the Outside.
If you try and open them inward they get stuck due to the way they fitted the Hinges.

Very Good Suggestion. We will definitely have these colour coded and marked.
There are 4 Keys: Gate Lock, Sliding Front Door, Security door and Second Door from room to Beach.

We upgrade our decor once a year since we are 3 Star Graded by the TGCSA. We will definitely look at a more beachy vibe for the lounge furniture. If you come next time you will find different decor.

Heerlike ligging in Clansthal. Een minuut se stap vanaf die eenheid tot op die strandfront. Heerlike grasperk en lekker strand. Die eenheid met see-uitsig. Die eenheid met tuin-uitsig is lekker beskut.

Puik ligging en naby strand. Beskut teen wind en veilig.
