Hi Elize,
We left the platform having been both disgusted and dismayed by our experience hosting you, your family and your friends. Our house accommodates a maximum of 8 guests, you disregarded that, I recall your bought 12. You will recall my email to you highlighting the following issues we uncovered on returning home from our holiday and explaining why we kept the deposit to cover damages:
You left bottles, bottle tops, cigarette butts, salt and tomato sauce sachets all around the pool area and the garden. You made little or no effort to clean this up. You emptied the braai charcoal on the lawn. Someone vomited on my lawn and did not bother to clean it up. You left an absolute mess for our domestic to clean up. Yes, you paid a cleaning fee but we expect guests to at least rinse the plates and cups and stack them neatly or load them into the dishwasher. Then I provided photo evidence of the damages to show the following: With some sort of pink inked or kokie pen the couch in my son's upstairs bedroom was marked; with the same pen marked my son's desk; with the same pen marked my son's wall; With the same pen marked by son's door; Someone tried to open the right-hand drawer in the upstairs bathroom which I told you specifically does not open and broke the handle.
