Presies waarna ons opsoek was. Somerlust was vir ons 'n oornagplek oppad terug Gauteng toe vanaf ons bestemming in die Wes-Kaap en was presies wat ons verwag en nodig gehad het. Ons aankoms was baie laat en ten spyte van hulle inklok tye het dit steeds vir ons maklik en aangenaam gemaak om in en uit te kon beweeg. Dankie daarvoor!

Rustic beauty and tranquility. We had the most wonderful stay at Sommerlust Manor. We stayed in the cosy Pool Cabin, which gives direct access to the large but rustic pool. The Manor is a historic site with lovely gardens and a wonderful rustic atmosphere. The service is excellent and the hosts went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We certainly want to stay there again!

Comfortable but noisy above. Very nice but this time I was disturbed by the person moving above the garden cottage - the wooden floor above is very creaky.

Peaceful and private. Enjoyed the pool and there is a tennis court. The host was accommodating and prompt. The property is safe. This will be one of my top picks next time I am in the area.

Pleasant but was riddled with power outages the entire time. The place itself was very peaceful and looked exactly like the pictures. We got what we paid for in terms of amenities and hospitality. My suggestions would be: to have a contingency plan for guests whenever there are power outages, to cater a little more to guests who stay more than 2 days (propose giving guests fresh towels, fresh bathroom mat, changing or emptying the bin etc).

Enjoyable stay after a long drive. We really enjoyed the stay at Sumerlust with the beautiful garden, swimming pool and all the other activities our adult children could enjoy.
