Breakage Deposit
A refundable breakage deposit of R2000 is payable directly to the property.
House Rules
The house has an inverter which runs the TV and WiFi, as well as one light in the lounge. There are rechargeable lights throughout the house for loadshedding, and the stove top is gas.
Not certified wheelchair friendly; however, it can be accessible as the house is on the same level with no stair access into the house and no stairs inside the house. The shower has a small seat and a handheld shower as well. The toilet has a hand bidet/spray nozzle.
Final rental amount and any additional fees must be paid to the property management company no later than 30 days/1 month before arrival. For international guests, certain deposits may be required in cash on arrival; for local residents, these need to be prepaid via EFT.
A late check-in fee is required if arriving after 18h00.
A maximum of 5 people sharing 2 bedrooms are allowed to sleep over. Please do not exceed this number on any given night.
Children of all ages are welcome; however, please take care of small children due to the height and nature of this property. There are safety barriers on the stairs or railings, and no hard/safety cover on the Kol Kol Hot Tub. You need to keep an eye on small children for their safety. The owners and property management company will not be held liable in any way.
Please bring your own baby cot and high chair.
Linen, bath and beach/swimming towels are provided. Please do not use bath towels as beach/swimming towels.
Uncapped WiFi and full package DStv are included. The TV is a smart TV.
Pets are allowed on the property upon prior request only, subject to owner confirmation. Pet policy applies.
No smoking indoors. Please discard cigarettes in the ashtray provided and not on the patio, gardens, or down toilets.
This is a high fire-risk area. No open fires are allowed at the property, and do not leave any fires unattended.
Unruly and/or noisy behaviour will result in eviction with no refund. No parties or events are permitted at the property. Please respect the property and your neighbours. No loud music or noise after 22h00.
Noise policy: Victoria Bay Holiday Cottage is situated in a quiet residential neighbourhood and part of a gated estate. Loud music, parties, or any excessive noise should be avoided at all times to preserve the serene and tranquil setting of the estate. No loud music or noise will be tolerated. The owners and property management company reserve their rights.
A cleaning surcharge will be charged should the tenants not leave the property in reasonable condition for occupation, or if check-out happens later than the specified time.
The house has septic tanks. Only human waste and toilet paper down the toilets, and use septic tank-friendly cleaning materials.
Housekeeping service is not included; it is an optional extra. Please advise well in advance if you require this service, as it is outsourced and subject to availability at the time of enquiry.
This accommodation is fully self-catering. Kindly provide your personal consumables.
Pet Policy applies:
No dogs are allowed on beds or furniture.
A surcharge will be charged should we note dogs on beds/furniture to cover cleaning costs, or if dogs mess in the house and carpets need cleaning after departure.
Please keep an eye on your dogs at all times. The house has an enclosed garden with fencing. You need to accept full responsibility for your dogs and not let them wander around unattended or cause a nuisance for neighbours and their dogs.
Please clean up after your dogs (poop outside).
Please bring your own dog beds, blankets, and feeding bowls.
