"Baie onvriendelike mense. Met my eerste besoek aan Robertson stop ons met aankoms by die padstal “Affie Plaas” om 16:45. Ons stap die padstal binne en begin lekker rondkyk en vind dit 'n baie aangename padstal. Die eienaar kom 16:55 na ons toe en vra ons om asb. te gaan betaal want die werkers se vervoer wag vir hulle. Dit was opvallend dat sy vrou die persoon is wat die kassier was. Ons het dit baie onbeskof gesien, want daar was geen werkers betrokke by ons besoek nie."

"Lovely little dorpie! I will definitely go back there. I even tried my hand at fishing and threw in my first line during our short stay in Gansbaai. Needless to say, the sinker attached to the fishing rod hit my stepson on his elbow instead of the water, but my next throw was better! I did not catch anything however, just pulled in seaweed."
