House Rules
Old Mill Drift offers a variety of accommodation options across the farm. Guests are requested to ensure that the unit booked is suitable for their needs. The property includes camping options, self-catering cottages, and group accommodation. Please check the kitchen and bathroom facilities carefully before confirming your booking.
Guests are required to bring their own bath and swimming towels.
For all camping options, including the rustic cabins Reedbuck and Duiker, guests must bring their own cooking equipment, including crockery, cutlery, and extension leads where required.
Tea and coffee are not supplied in any of the units.
Old Mill Drift is a working farm with free-roaming animals, including large dogs, donkeys, horses, ducks, and chickens, as well as other guests’ pets. These animals cannot be confined during guest stays.
The farm is located approximately 3 km off the main Clarens/Fouriesburg road. Access is via a rough dirt road. Vehicles with high clearance are recommended, and a 4x4 may be required in wet conditions.
A shuttle service is available for guests who prefer not to drive the farm road in their own vehicle. This must be requested in advance at the time of booking.
Important: Only 4x4 vehicles are permitted to tow caravans on this road.
Guests are requested to respect the peaceful farm environment and other guests at all times.
Quiet hours apply in the evenings. Noise should be kept to a minimum, especially at night.
Old Mill Drift is a working farm. Guests should be mindful of farm equipment, animals, and staff areas, and children must be supervised at all times.
Pets are welcome by prior arrangement and must be kept under control at all times. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and ensuring they do not disturb other guests or wildlife. At an additional cost.
Smoking is not permitted inside the units.
