Onvergeetlik!

Wow! Alles was net wonderlik en amazing! Die persoonlike touch op alles, die omgee en liefde vir alles om hulle en op die plek. Die asemrowende uitsigte en heerlike rus en stilte is wonderlik verby. Kan nie wag om weer te gaan nie!

Very special place to escape to.

From the moment we arrived and saw the beautiful gardens, picture-perfect house and met Sannah, who looked after us all weekend, we were beyond impressed. The house is perfect for a large group and just as beautiful in real life as the stunning photos. From the pizza oven and fire pit to the lovely large garden perfect for our two four-legged friends, everything far exceeded our expectations. Alice, the owner, was just the most delightful human being and answered all our questions about the farm. We also booked a dog photoshoot with Alice and she took us to the most amazing locations and the photos turned out just brilliant. The two trout dams proved to be full of trout and a fly fisherman’s dream as 6 fish were caught. The walks to the dams and in the forest also proved to be really magical. We loved every moment. We are so grateful for the warm welcome and extra touches that just made our stay perfect and just what we city slickers needed. Also having to go to the WiFi shed when needing to connect to Wifi meant that everyone remained device-free in the house which really was wonderful and made the weekend even more special. Thank you to Alice and Sannah for making our stay so special and thank you to Graham for helping us get our car issue sorted and going above and beyond to help. This really is a special place that we will definitely be returning to very soon.

Breathtaking weekend away.

Nightjar was absolutely everything I was hoping it would be. Upon arrival the KolKol hot tub was already lit by the lovely housekeeper, Ethel. We read, hiked and relaxed for two glorious days. The unit is very well kept and clean, it actually looks brand new. . Small touches like a welcome card and lovely outdoor towels for the hot tub were very sweet. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a few days out of the city and away from cell phone reception (there is a wifi-lounge) but the break from reality is truly one of the best parts of the trip. Thank you to Alice and the Katrinasrust Team for a great stay!

Top 3 destination in SA!

We arrived with high expectations about Nightjar because of what was seen on social media. Our expectations were exceeded which is a rare thing to come by these days! That alone tells you how great Nightjar is to stay at. The hosts are exceptionally great people to deal with also.
