Rustige tyd in die natuur.

Onvergeetlike drie nagte in Leopard Valley saam met ons honde kinders gehad. Die buite warm bad was heerlik. Enigste negatiewe is dat die pad met tye nogal lawaaierig is.

Peaceful, calm, best way to connect to nature.

Our stay was amazing, just what the doctor ordered to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, batteries reloaded, almost overcharged.

The heated pool was amazing and the stars were out of this world.

Baie gesellige privaat huisie met eie swembad.

Awesome. Ons eenheid was baie privaat. Ons het 'n hele groot plaasdam net vir ons self gehad. Huisie goed ingerig. Ons was net bang om vuur te maak. Die vuur area was nie goed beskut nie. Die wind het bietjie gewaai. Met al die onlangse veldbrande was ons maar versigtig. Ek wil baie graag weer daar gaan bly.

Asemhaal.

Netjies en goed uiteengesit. Vanaf die houtdek met 'hot-tub' en gerieflike rusbank kan mens jouself verloor in die asemrowende natuurskoon. Ons is vriendelik ontvang en indien nodig net 'n oproep weg. Ons het heerlik ontspan - hier kan mens kom asemhaal. Dankie Leopard Valley Eco Retreat vir die pragtige verblyf in jul 'pods'. Dit is in die natuur - so tref maar die nodige voorsorg teen die elemente (insekroom, sonskerm).

Heerlike wegbreek-plek!

Behalwe vir die wind wat effens gepla het, was dit 'n heerlike naweek weg. Dit is 'n perfekte plek vir 'n wegbreek uit Kaapstad met meer as genoeg in die omgewing om te doen of net weg te kruip van die wêreld!

Fantasties lekker gebly. Ontspannend en rustig.

Vreeslik lekker gebly, definitief ontspan. Mooiste wegbreek naweek. Sal 110% aanbeveel, veral as mens wil wegkom van besige stad om af te skakel. Die natuur is prentjiemooi. Alles is klaar daar, pak net tas en gaan.

Romantiese en intieme wegbreek.

Modern, skoon en baie netjies. Die uitleg van die huisie bied privaatheid en is perfek uitgelê vir 'n romantiese en intieme wegbreek. Die kersies en lanterns om die warm bad, die ekstra warm kombers en heater is alles bedagsame "ekstras" wat die verblyf net soveel meer gerieflik en spesiaal maak. Die huisie is heeltemal "off-the-grid" en die eienaars het elke aspek in ag geneem om 'eco' en bewus van die omgewing of natuur te wees. Die huisies is geleë in 'n mooi vallei weg van die geraas en alhoewel dit naby 'n pad was, het slegs enkele voertuie daar verby gery. Die geluide van water en voëltjies het vinnig die klank van voertuie uitgeskakel. Ek sal aanraai om dalk Tabard saam te vat, want die muskiete het redelik ons gebyt. Anders as dit, perfekte naweek wegbreek! Ons sal weer kom kuier.

Winter retreat: very comfortable with a warm fire and stunning views.

We arrived just as the sun set on Friday evening, with a courtesy visit from local security services as accessed the property. A lovely warm fireplace and a well-appointed kitchen made for easy meals and cosy nights. However, the chief strength is the view, also partially reflected in the pond, a good few birds to spot, the odd Cape Mongoose and plenty of secure space for our two border collies to explore, with protea garden beginning to take shape. Only two drawbacks which hardly bothered us: slightly close to the road which is used only by the occasional car and delivery truck. Also, I would have liked some trails into the mountains, but I believe that's in progress.

Picturesque.

Beautiful location, within the mountainous valley surrounded by the sound of running water, it was a restful stay and the accommodation itself was unique and well presented. Nice hot tub and all necessary amenities.

Dit was 'n heerlike wegbreek van die stad. Sal enige tyd weer wil gaan kuier, maar vir bietjie langer. Die huisie het alles wat ons nodig gehad het en die diens was uistekend.

Peaceful and Comfortable.

The Cabin has a charming off-grid/farmhouse feel but with all the modern amenities you would expect from a hotel in the city. The stars and quiet will wrap you in a blanket of serenity, truly a hidden gem in the Cederberg Mounains.

Heerlike, rustige kuierplek.

Baie goed toegeruste cabin. Effe min kombuisware bv. spatel en steakmesse, maar alles wat mens nodig het, is daar! Wifi is uitstekend. Genoeg komberse, kaggel en brandhout. Verseker waarde vir geld. As ek iets negatiefs móét sê, is dat dit jammer is dat dit so na aan die pad is. Die lorries toet vir mekaar en versteur die heerlike stilte.

Heerlike verblyf in die berge!

Mooi uitsig, heerlike kaggel, warm beddens, lekker gestap. Huisies is binnenshuis mooi ontwerp. Almal het dit geniet, asook ons hond!

Relaxing and quiet.

Not much to do around the area but our dog had a great time roaming free. I was a little worried that there was no fence around the place to the road but all was without incident.

Leopard Valley is 'n heerlike wegbreek in die berge. Die huisies is van "containers" gebou en heeltemal af van Eskom-krag. Dus was daar nooit beurtkrag nie en ook geen probleme met internet of selfoonopvangs nie. Die huisies is baie goed ingerig en baie netjies. Elkeen het ook 'n buitebad wat verhit kan word.

Modieuse verblyf tussen die berge!

Baie oulike 'container' huisie waar jy 'n breuk het van 'loadshedding'. Het die 'hot tub' baie geniet, net gevind dit neem bietjie langer om te verhit - maar wat 'n uitsig! Benjamin wat jou verwelkom, is baie vriendelik en hulpvaardig en net 'n SMS weg! Dankie dat ons die mooie berge uit julle huisie kon beleef!

The scenery and levels of comfort on offer are truly spectacular. Benjamin went out of his way to make sure our stay was enjoyed.

Leopard Valley Eco Retreat se diens en vriendelike ontvangs het ons dadelik tuis laat voel. As ek wel iets negatiefs MOES se, sou ek voorstel dat jy jou eie hout saam neem. Daar is nie baie hout beskikbaar nie. Die houtvuurwarbad gebruik redelik hout omdat hy lekker groot is. Verder kan ons nie kla nie, ongfelooflike ligging en weer gehad. Absoluut die ry en geld werd.

Wat 'n lieflike ervaring, 'n absolute pleister vir 'n moeë stedeling se hart.

Wat 'n absolute vonds in die Citrusdal omgewing. Stilte en sterre soos wat ons gesin lanklaas beleef het, en die bykomende bonus van 'n vuur-gestookte Jacuzzi. Hangmat om in boek te lees, en goed ingerigte eenheid gemaak uit ou skeepsvraghouers. Interieur is modern en goed uitgelê. "Off-the-grid" op sy heel beste! Sonkrag en WiFi met lieflike vistas oor die berge.

Ons het heerlik gerus.

Moet definitief hout inpak as jy van Suid-Afrika is en hou van braai.

Verblyf was fantasties behalwe dat hulle ongelukkig nie ons geen warm water kon uitsorteer nie.

Benjamin does everything to make it a perfect stay. The peace is absolutely great and the dinner Benjamin served was delicious and an unexpected surprise.

If you want to have your peace and quiet it is the place to go but remember it is self-catering as the next shops and restaurants are quite a way away.

Comfortably uncomfortable.

We have booked the 2 nights stay at Leopard valley for our 6 months wedding anniversary (very excited). On arrival the retreats manager welcomed us with a few rules on the property and how to manage the wood fire jacuzzi. The fire in the box was already lighted up for the jacuzzi even though the water inside was still cold. One of the guys, I guess who works for the retreat informed us that it takes up to 2 hours to get the water to a temperature that is enjoyable. With this we have conclude that we will need a lot of wood as it takes 2 hours. When we were on our way to the retreat, I asked the manager if there is enough wood for us to braai on arrival and he confirmed the home is “fully equipped” on arrival there was a 7kg bag of wood and inside the bag was 7-8 pieces of wood and with that amount of wood we had to get the jacuzzi to an enjoyable temperature and make a fire to braai our food. So, I sent a WhatsApp to the manager explaining to him that we do not have enough wood and his response was that they have given us a bag and that it is enough for the jacuzzi, I asked him what about the braai? He then said that the delivery didn’t come for the wood and that he would notify me when there will be wood. This was very frustrating to us as we were promised that the unit was fully equipped. Now we had to sit and wait for wood to arrive for us to start a fire and braai our food. 4 hours later I sent the manager a message again and ask him where the wood is as we would like to start our weekend without people and enough wood to get the jacuzzi hot and braai our food, his response was that they are still waiting, we only received a small bag of wood 8PM Friday night, by that time we have decide that it is to late and cold out side so we made a platter inside and enjoyed it in the jacuzzi as we had to use the second bag of wood to finally get the jacuzzi hot. . Our first night without our 2 little boys and we were ready to have a good night’s rest unfortunately that did not happen as my wife, and I could not sleep as we kept turning in the bed as the mattress in the room was not up to standard and both of us could not sleep as we had back pain and to top that the retreat is right next to a road where trucks and cars would pas right through the night. The main reason we wanted to break away is to get away from the city life. . I would recommend it to friends, but I would also have to tell them about our experience at the retreat.

A tranquil resting place to recharge and rest the soul.

Beautiful place, lovely views, excellent accommodation. Only thing lacking was we had no corkscrew in the unit, but we asked and had one dropped off very quickly. A few bulbs needed replacing in the unit too - perhaps a more thorough check after checkout in the future would just add that extra touch. We had a fantastic weekend though.
