What an awesome time we had at Summit Song - we will definitely be going back!

The agent was super friendly, she shared the daily specials and kept us abreast of what was happening in Knysna, kept us informed of load shedding times - the place was super comfortable and totally enjoyed our stay!

Disgusting, disappointing - stay away.

From check-in to basic things like the gas fireplace and DStv not working, the only redeeming feature of this house is that it is on Thesen Island. For a house that charges a R2000 cleaning fee, the place was disgusting. Not only was the floor covered in hair, but we also found them in the bedding as well as in the cutlery. There was dirty, cracked crockery in the cupboards. The plates smelled like rotten fish and had to be washed before we could use them. The flatlet probably hasn't been cleaned in the last year, you could not walk barefoot so dirty was the floor. The linen was so stained we had to convince ourselves that the stains were coffee and not bodily fluids. The fridge was completely broken with the door coming off. Even though a kettle is supplied, there is no cutlery. There is no water pressure, so you could not shower. The main bedroom had a huge water stain that was still wet. In the dining room, there were lights out. Some of the doors don't open and for half of them we couldn't find the keys. A small thing, the guest information book indicates that firewood is provided which it was not. Quite annoying, when you assume that, since it is indicated, it will be available and then realizing, before wanting to braai, that it isn't. Overall, we loved Knysna, but do yourself a favor and book elsewhere.
