House Rules

Arrival & Neighbourhood

Guests are required to respect neighbours at all times, and hooting upon arrival or departure is not permitted.

Guests are requested to contact the host via WhatsApp or phone when at the gate to arrange access.

The driveway gate must be kept closed at all times for safety and to protect pets.

Guests are required to drive slowly on the property due to the presence of pets.


WELCOME PACK AND FIRE PIT
Tea, coffee, milk, sugar, and toilet paper are provided for the first night. Thereafter, guests are requested to bring their own.

Fire starter kit with doringhout wood and blitz are provided free of charge for you; extra wood/stumps may be purchased. Stumps only for fire pit use.


WATER
Water restrictions are in place, and guests are urged to use water sparingly. Guests are encouraged to take short showers, please.

Five litres of filtered drinking water per night are provided for you, from our water filter system; please bring additional as needed.


PETS
A maximum of two small to medium pets is permitted by prior arrangement only, and a pet fee applies per pet.

Pets must stay behind the fence at all times.

Under no circumstances may pets be left alone or locked up in The Cottage. Failure to adhere to this will result in guests being asked to leave the property.

Pets are not allowed on beds/furniture. A dog bed and blanket will be provided for you.

Loose mats/rugs are removed during pet visits.

POOL
Communal pool shared with other guests and the Main House.

Pool use is permitted between 08h00 and 20h00.

Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times, and failure to do so will result in pool closure for the remainder of your stay.

Pool gate must remain closed; shoes/flip-flops recommended. No running.
Pool towels are provided.

The pool cover is kept on to eliminate evaporation. Kindly let the host know should you wish to swim, and they will open and close the cover with pleasure.

FURNISHINGS
The Cottage has handcrafted wooden furniture, made by the owner himself. Please use the cutting boards provided; no direct cutting, hot items, or liquids on wooden surfaces.

Indoor furniture is to remain inside, and outdoor furniture is to be used outdoors only.

Furniture and any other items provided at the property may not be removed for use off-site.

Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property or its contents.

Please only use candles in holders. Damage from misuse may incur charges.

SMOKING AND VAPING
Smoking and Vaping is not permitted indoors. Additional cleaning fee may be applied if this rule is not followed.

DAY VISITORS
Day visitors require prior approval from management and may incur a fee.

No parties or events allowed. The main guest is responsible for visitors following the rules.


ELECTRICITY AND POWER
Please use electricity sparingly; switch off lights and appliances when not in use.

High-load appliances, heaters, fans, and EV chargers are not permitted. A wall heater and 2 portable fans are provided for your use.

We do not require a breakage deposit; any breakages or damages incurred are payable by the guest to the host.
