"Daar is hewige skade aan die area na die vloede. Baie konstruksie werk aan die gang om te herstel en reg te wees vir die Desember vakansie. Die riool probleem sal hopelik opgelos wees dan sodat mense weer kan swem."

TO Strand Vakansieoord"Very limited shops available. Spar is overcrowded and limited stock is available. Nobody replenishing the stock. Should have a manager walking around, speaking to customers. I do not feel safe in Port Edward. Should have community members, with special t-shirts on walking around. Across from the Spar, the area is neglected. They should make a neat smart area where the local ladies can sell their fruit and veg to the holidaymakers."

Summer Place - Lookout"Die winkels het opgegradeer, beskikbaarheid en verskeidenheid van kosse is baie beter. Dit help baie met beplanning."

Ocean's Paradise Beach Cottage"The shop owners are all friendly and there’s a great selection of beaches and places to eat. There are a few rundown areas but it’s also less crowded and well located to other attractions."
"The beach close to this area is dog-friendly, and is easily accessible. It is such a lovely beach for both human and furry kids to roam and play in the waves!"
"After floods a lot needs to be repaired especially sewage pipes so Umdloti Beach is closed, however, it is so close to Umhlanga and Ballito you can still stay in Umdloti."
