"Harties is a serene and stunningly tranquil part of the country. If you want to breathe fresh air and lap up nature, this surely is a place, especially for city dwellers. There are many activities and restaurants to visit so don't bank on experiencing everything in a weekend. You will need many a day to indulge yourself. Each restaurant visited, provided us with exceptionally good value and scrumptious meals. The prices are fair and unusual for a tourist town. However, the activities are on the pricey side. Choose wisely where you will get your money's worth. The little craft stores and vendors on the roadside aren't that much more expensive compared to other tourist towns. Accommodation is definitely on the pricey side of life especially the self-catering and lodges. Caravan parks would be the better option if you choose to spoil on the many activities offered. I would certainly visit again and next time return with a trailer to stock up on the fresh produce and books from the Jasmyn market."
