Sakpas, rustiek plekkie by die see. Wat 'n heerlike plek om te bly. Ja, dit is 'n plek in plattelandse Suid-Afrika, so mens kan nie die beste verwag nie, maar tog oortref hulle. Die rondawel was bietjie afgeleef, maar altyd skoon en netjies. Kos by die restaurant was heerlik, veral hul pizzas. Omgewing is onvergeetlik en die plek is binne loopafstand van die Hole in the Wall.

Not a hotel to visit at all! This has been one of the worst stays we have ever had. The hotel is very neglected. The thatch of the roofs is falling in. Rooms are dirty. Tiles are broken. Furniture is extremely dirty, and the upholstery is torn. Bedding is dirty, old, and frayed. Towels are old. Cupboard doors are missing. No WiFi. No Vodacom reception. Although the location is marvelous, the hotel is sadly a no-go place. We did not understand why the website even features this hotel.

I would like to clarify a few points, not to dismiss your experience, but to provide some context. Our property is intentionally marketed as rustic, and many of the features you mentioned—such as the thatch roofing and older furnishings—are part of that character. Thatch does naturally shed over time, which is why we include complimentary cleaning for longer stays to ensure ongoing comfort. Cleanliness, however, is something we take very seriously. Each unit is thoroughly cleaned before every check-in, and while our linen and towels may not be new, they are always freshly laundered and hygienic. That said, I regret that this was not your experience, and we will certainly follow up with our housekeeping team to address your concerns. We understand that our setting is not for everyone, especially if you are expecting a more modern or hotel-style environment. We do try to be transparent in how we present the property so guests can make an informed choice. Thank you again for your honest feedback. It helps us improve, and we do appreciate you highlighting both the positives and the areas where we fell short.

Not very good as expected. Hut 9: rusty shower head, rusty shower rail, too old sheets, ragged pillowcases, bad sewage odour, very old curtains. The room with single beds is underutilised - would have loved if there were two double beds instead. Clean drinking water should be provided for free. I did not like that my family was scattered. Gatecrashers disturbed us on New Year's night. Security did not intervene.
