"Doonside is not what it used to be in the past. Take care if travelling after dark there are many shady looking characters."

"Hibberdene is a small town, but if you are going for the sea, fresh air, warm weather, dolphin and whale views and access to some private, quiet beaches, it is perfect. Local shops are fine for a quick visit, but rather drive a bit further towards Port Shepstone for greater variety. We took our 4 dogs and had a magical beach holiday with them."

"Lovely quiet and private little coastal town. The roads could do with some pothole-fixing. Town has the feeling of "jungle" rather than "beach". The beach is not readily accessible, having to cross a railway etc, but in some way this does add to the secluded charm of Pennington."
