"Is a small town with a lingering fishy smell in the air. We were not bothered by any smell on top of the hill where we stayed. The shops had rather limited goods and fresh meat was only available pre-packed. However, if you travel towards Vredenburg there is a good butchery next to the road. The local Portuguese Restaurant " Allegra" serves the greatest fish dishes and Portuguese Peri Peri Chicken, steaks, eisbein, seafood platters and a good choice of wines."
