Many social venues to experience. A small town experience with good options to keep you busy for a long weekend, or if you just want to get away from the rat race. A good, boring, quiet weekend."

"Clarens is still special. As frequent visitors, now much more commercialised than the Clarens we first knew, but with a pleasing variety of restaurant options. Friends previously resident have semigrated to Montagui. Petty crime/vehicle theft is becoming an issue. Too many car guards/washers hanging around the Square for their own good or visitors peace of mind."
"Lovely town to visit with many little shops to visit with interesting knickknacks to look at and purchase. There is a wide variety of restaurants to cater for all taste. The Jacket Shop is definitely worth a visit or two. The walks there are really beautiful, well marked and well maintained. Thank you to everyone who made our visit such a relaxing time."
"'n Fantastierse plek met genoeg afleiding/vermaak/opsies vir 'n gesin met klein kinders, 'n familie met oupa's en ouma's, avonturiers wat wil bergklim, bergfiets ry of net lekker in die natuur of deur die pragtige dorpie wil wandel, verliefdes wat stil plekkies wil besoek; of selfs enkellopendes wat kan wegraak in die winkeltjies, kunsgalerye en heerlike koffie drink en eetplekke. Natuurlik ook vir die jongklomp wat wil kuier, drink en ontspan!"
