"We love Stanford. It's a friendly and down to earth village with something to do for everyone. Panthera Africa is one of our favourite places, excellent ambassadors for sustainable tourism and protection of wild life. Those wild cats has a heartbreaking story to tell us. Other places we like to visit, is the cheese farm for a great picnic, the beer tasting place and the local bakery."

"A delightful little village that has so much to do that is in close proximity. We had fun at the Friday evening market where we ate delicious and highly recommended fish and chips. The Stanford Stumble, to raise funds for the Butterfly Centre which is a school for children with learning challenges, was loads of fun. To see the community, some in fancy dress, out supporting this worthy cause makes you realise what a beautiful country South Africa is. The nearby wine and cheese farms as well as the Overberg honey shop are a must visit. We even managed a quick trip to see Gansbaai. We ended off our brief weekend visit with a delicious gelato ice cream from the little ice cream shop in Stanford. "
"Dit is 'n lekker klein dorp om 'n paar dae in deur te bring. Mens kan al die omliggende besienswaardighede besoek, om nie eens te praat van die baie interessante, antieke snuffelwinkels nie. Ek beveel enige toeris aan om Stanford nie mis te loop nie!"

"It's kind of lost its allure. So many houses for sale; the Fish & Chip shop is now a funeral parlour and the art gallery in the main street is for sale. The entire main street has lost its vibe. The River trip on Lady Stanford was a fantastic highlight of the trip."
