"Margate itself has declined and I don't feel safe there. The surrounding areas are still well-kept and safe. The municipality really needs to do something about the potholes which seem to be getting worse and worse every time I go there."

Driftwood Seaview"Port Shepstone overall is unfortunately a bit run down. As a tourist destination, it could be fantastic as the beaches are awesome. Wish more could be done to upgrade the town."
"Baie inwoners, dronk op strand, gooi papiere. Dorp self moeite probeer om skoon en netjies te maak. Strandbadkamer was altyd mooi skoon."
"Margate has always been my family's first choice for holidays. The atmosphere is great the beaches are clean and safe, the restaurants are plenty. The shops are close by to all resorts and if you rather use malls, there are two huge ones you can drive to. Margate should be your 1st choice on our Hibiscus Coast."
"Daar is als beskikbaar wat nodig is. Het nie nodig om na groot 'malls' of plekke toe te gaan nie en mense wat ons ontmoet het in straat en winkels baie vriendelik. Ook as ons gestap het langs die see het motors plek gemaak vir ons."
