SeaKaya"Too few shops, shops close at 5, no fast food stores other than KFC. Expected more seafood restaurants since it is a coastal town. No beach to swim, was very hot, should be more swimming pools or swimming beaches."

Emmaus-On-Sea"The 16 mile (25 km) beach is great for long walks or just for a dip in the water. Suitable for surfing or body boarding. We didn't try the local restaurants. A little mall is at the entrance of the housing area which includes a big Spar and a barber. The ABSA ATM is across the street. Even closer to our accommodation was a petrol station and a range of shops including a pharmacy. There is a harbour in Yzerfontein. The drive there is quite nice. Langebaan is 43 mins drive from Yzerfontein. We drove there to visit the Shark Bay hotel, watch the kite surfers on the lagoon and to have lunch at the Roxy Beach restaurant. There are a few small restaurants along the main beach."

Birdsong Barrydale"This little Karoo town is one of my favourite places to visit. So many interesting and unusual restaurants too. I loved the Karoo Daisy restaurant, a quaint little church that has been turned into a restaurant with all the walls painted with Karoo scene murals - beautiful. Amazing pizzas & great roosterbrood too! Definitely worthwhile stopping there, even if you are just passing through."

Habibi 1"Paternoster is 'n pragtige dorpie met baie potensiaal, maar tans is die dorpie vuil en rommel lê orals rond, veral in oop erwe waar onwettige storting gedoen word. Dit kom voor asof daar nie 'n polisieteenwoordigheid is om wet en orde te handhaaf nie en die plaaslike bevolking tree op asof besoekers indringers is wat uitgebuit moet word. Hopelik verander dit in die toekoms. Ons sal graag weer kom kuier."
