"Doringbaai is the jewel of the West Coast, it is only a pity that the crayfishing no longer takes place there and as a result many of its inhabitants are quite poor. But one gets the impression that this quiet and tranquil West Coast village will see new life once the dirt road that links it with Grafwater, Vredendal and Lamberts Bay is tarred. The entire West Coast will one day see many more holiday makers and this will uplift the communities that call this wonderful coast their home!"
